Bic Runga is taking a little time out from working on her followup album to her multiplatinum debut "Drive" to play a few intimate shows at selected venues in Nelson, Christchurch and Wellington.

If you're wondering how her new songs are sounding, no doubt she will be playing a number of them at these shows, along with all your favourites from "Drive", and possibly an unexpected cover or two.

Finn / Runga / Dobbyn to play London UK on Waitangi Day (6 Feb 2002)

Waitangi Day Concert: Kiwi musicians Tim Finn, Bic Runga and Dave Dobbyn will be appearing live in London together for the 1st time as part of an exclusive one-off Waitangi Day concert

They will share the stage at the Brixton Academy on 6th February 2002 to perform to more than 4000 supporters. All 3 performers are household names in New Zealand, with their work contributing greatly to the colourful history of the New Zealand music scene.

Finn, Runga and Dobbyn will appear on stage together for the duration of the 2 hour show, presented in 2 halves with an interval. The singers will perform together and alone, and the music varies from acoustic to electric, with or without a band.

Kiwis in London will feel right at home with this top-class line-up and, to add to the Waitangi Day celebrations, the concert will be opened with a performance from the Ngati Ranana Performing Arts Group. The New Zealand High Commission in London is also supporting the concert as a great cultural event, showcasing the best of New Zealand music.
